Elementary School Teacher
Sonshine Christian Academy has an opening for an Elementary school teacher who is able to perform the following primary responsibilities from an approved curriculum: plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities; create positive educational environment for students to learn in; meet course and school-wide student performance goals; participate in ongoing professional development sessions; create lesson plans with occasional modifications throughout the year; maintain student performance records; grade papers; knowledge of relevant technology; observe and evaluate student academic progression; and manage student behavior in the classroom by implementing approved disciplinary procedures. Candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education or closely related field and will be required to pass an FBI and BCI background check. Additionally, Candidate will be responsible for applying for a Non-Tax Permanent Teachers License if hired.

Computer/Typing Elective Instructor
Sonshine Christian Academy is looking for an Elective Instructor who can perform the following primary responsibilities for an approved extra-curriculum course: plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities, while creating a positive educational environment for students. Candidate will be expected to instruct students in a variety of age groups ranging from PreK-10th grades, in the extra-curricular areas throughout the school year in typing and computer skills. Each extra-curricular course will have the support of a Licensed Teacher or Teacher’s Assistant in the class to help Candidate with said responsibilities. Candidate must have a minimum of a high school diploma (bachelor’s degree preferred) and will be required to pass an FBI and BCI background check.
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Shuttle Bus Driver
The candidate must be dependable and available to work M-F, 4-6 hours per day: 2-3 hours in the morning and 2-3 hours in the afternoon. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.
Sonshine Christian Academy has job opportunities available in the area of Bible Instruction. The instructors will need to teach a variety of lessons to children ranging from Kindergarten through high school. In-person teaching is preferred, on-line teaching is optional. Applicants must pass a background check, possess a statement of faith that includes a divine calling, and a passion to spread the Gospel message of hope to the world.

One who can direct the learning procedure in the direction of accomplishing curriculum objectives and goals as implied in the lesson plans for projects, lessons, or units assigned. The candidate must make use of instructional procedures and materials which are most suitable for attaining lesson goals. He/she must go through attendance according to the process of the school and ensure a suitable relationship with parents, students, school personnel and members of the public by communicating in a confidential, polite, and refined manner. Candidate must have a certificate in teaching or substitute teaching. Candidate must have the ability to comply with written or oral instruction.
